Somatic Psychotherapy is based on two things we know about being human: we are embodied and we are in relationship — with ourselves, with others and with nature. This therapy is an exercise in exploration and curiosity about what’s happening in your body and what’s happening outside of yourself and how the two relate. Compassionate facilitation held in a non-judgemental space guides the therapeutic process. Mind-body dialogue prompts you to tune into physical sensation, thoughts, and emotions. All are met with expanded awareness and deep presence, gentle movement and touch. Each session concludes with a 20 min. Integrative Energy Healing treatment to “imprint” the somatic memory of what was revealed.

Restorative Yoga allows space for your nervous system to calm down and reset. This helps your body find a more neutral and balanced state. When your body moves into a deep state of rest it begins to self-regulate. Your heart rate generally slows down, blood pressure lowers, rate of breath slows, blood flow to major muscles and organs improves and over time, physical symptoms (headache, back pain, digestive issues) subside. Our emotional responses become more balanced, we have more energy, increased clarity and our perception of life widens. These are private guided sessions and previous yoga experience is not necessary as all of the postures are slow, sustained, guided and supported by props.
