Gillian is passionate about helping people recover from life impacts and grow into fuller lives. She has a keen intuitive awareness for the subtle energy of the body, and an attuned appreciation for the innate wisdom held in the body's potential for healing.
Compassionate and present, she guides clients through somatic practices that lead to states of deep relaxation in a safe, held, meditative environment, encouraging deep self-reflection and self-awareness. Integrating psychotherapy and subtle touch, this works builds a vital bridge between verbal and non-verbal, conscious and sub-conscious.
Now residing in Lund, BC, Gillian has a part-time practice and has been seeing clients privately and through practicum in a variety of settings for the past 10 years.
Gillian completed the Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist Program in 2018 and is a trauma-informed Restorative Yoga Teacher. She continues to explore yoga and renewed her 200 Hr Yoga Teaching Certification at Elements Movement in Qathet (Powell River). She recently became a licensed Emergency Medical Assistant, First Responder for Northside Volunteer Fire Department.
She was certified in Advanced Integrative Energy Healing and in Strategic Resilience for First Responders in 2017. This work was informed by over 900 hours of supervised practicum and internship in clinic and hospital settings (including Vancouver General Hospital Palliative Care, GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, Vancouver Coastal Health Eating Disorder Clinic, Pacifica Treatment Center, and Lionsgate Integral Health Centre), offering support to clients with trauma, anxiety, brain injury, stress disorders, eating disorders, addictions and complex medical diagnoses.
When not in the Healing Studio, Gillian can be most often be found happily wandering the trails, paddling the strait, or playing in the garden.
